How Does a House Call Work?
1. Contact Us
To schedule an in-home veterinary appointment, please call or email our office. Our mobile veterinary services are ideal for pets who experience stress when visiting a clinic, have mobility challenges, or are fearful of travel. Many pets are more relaxed and cooperative in the familiar comfort of their own home.
2. We Come to You
At your scheduled appointment time, the veterinarian and a technician will arrive at your home. You are welcome to choose the location where you and your pet will be most comfortable—whether inside your home, on the porch, or in the backyard.
3. Gentle Pet Examination
We specialize in gentle, fear-free examinations. We begin by speaking with you about your pet’s medical history while allowing your pet to become accustomed to our presence. Most pets respond well and perceive the exam as friendly interaction. For those who are more anxious or less cooperative, our experienced team is trained in calm, safe handling techniques.
Important Preparation Request:
Prior to our arrival, please ensure your pet is appropriately restrained. Dogs should be wearing a collar or harness with a leash attached. Cats should be placed in a secure carrier or confined in a small room such as a bathroom.
4. Treatment & Prescriptions
Following the physical examination, the veterinarian will discuss recommended treatment options with you. We carry a variety of commonly prescribed medications for same-day dispensing and also offer an online pharmacy for convenient home delivery of prescriptions.
5. Checkout
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept checks, exact cash, Venmo, Zelle, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Please note a 2.6% service charge for credit cards.
